Hey guys,

i put together a new PC yesterday and i did everything I possibly could for cooling.

Card : MSI 3 fan 3080

Case : Lian Li o11 xl

3 side fans - pull

3 bottom fans - pull

top mounted radiator - push

rear fan - push

I should be getting good temps but I’m not. After a 30 min Unigine Heaven torture test (3440x1440, all maxed out) My temps were:

GPU - 77

memory - 88(???? Wtf)

hot spot - 88 ( again ?????)

exact same temps for Time Spy benchmark maybe a degree lower ( i also scored below average for a 3080 and 12700k, idk what that means)

no idea if this is normal or if my Graphics card has defective cooling

For the best cooling with an air cooled GPUs in a Dynamic, intake should be below the GPU and the top and side should be exhaust.

One of my non XL Dynamics has a RTX 3090 it. It is at 68c running Heaven at 4k. The one with a 3090 is at 75c.

The one with the 3090 only has one intake fan(Noctua NF-A12X25) and the one with the 3090 ti uses 2 of the same fans.

I have bought more fans to populate them but have not installed them yet.

I would not be to worried with 77c but you might want to flip some fans to see if there is a difference.

I have my radiator for my AIO top mounted, should I swap that to the side or just reverse the fans?

I have mine on top as well. All the RGB fans are exhausting out of the case.

The 5900x does R20 in the 60s so the setup is not effecting the CPU.

I will install the 3rd fan at some point just for looks. It is not needed.
