So I got the Lian Li Dynamic XL. And my motherboard is Asus Rog X570 E. Do I need to use standoffs for it? I have not plugged it in yet because I read that you need standoffs or you could short the motherboard if it comes too close to the back of the case.  So everything fits perfectly without the standoffs. But the problem is if I do asd standoffs, the rear IO of the motherboard won't line up with the o11 dynamic xl's rear io opening.  I attached a picture without the standoffs. So if I add standoffs just imagine it not being in line with the cutout anymore.

I'm new to pc building. But is this case supposed to be used without standoffs? Sorry for the confusing post.

I have no clue. Wait for a response though. You do not want to short your brand new rig

You need standoffs, and it looks like they're already installed with how the IO lines up.

Picture of the inside of your case without the motherboard in it?

Edit: Are you sure you don't have a refurbished motherboard? Looks like the BIOS Flashback button is missing. In the picture below it's the round button below the "BIOS FLBK" icon. Your motherboard just has a hole. You also are missing the cover over the audio "SPDIF" port. That cover looks like it might be there, but stuck inside the port.

Hi. It's new.  But I think it fell off when I was putting it in. So either it's broken or refurbished.

I already have everything ziptied.  But unless there are standoffs on it that I didn't see. Then I guess I just have a bag full of extra standoffs.

But if it fits the cutout doesn't that mean there are standoffs?

I'm confused. How did you put the motherboard in the case? Did you just put it in there and hope for the best- or...?

You need standoffs underneath the motherboard, and you need to then install the motherboard, and secure the standoffs with standoff screws. The standoffs and standoff screws should come with the case (in a box/bag). Use the instructions your case came with and your motherboard manual. Have both of those out at all times.

What did you ziptie? Can you take the motherboard out and post a picture of the motherboard tray without the motherboard in it?

I meant before I posted this everything has been zipyied already. So it's hard to remover the wires from the back. Maybe I can try to get a picture from the side. Are these standoffs? If so did they just give me another bag to use?

That looks like your motherboard is screwed into the standoffs. You have to remove screws to remove your motherboard yeah?

There should be 9 screws holding your motherboard in.

Hi sorry. I didn't install anything. I guess it was there already. I just lined it up with the cutout and it was alright.  Then after everything I just saw a bag full of these and I font remember putting anything.

Those are standoffs. Wait... so I'm slightly less confused.

So, yes, some motherboards come with standoffs installed already. This is true. I don't think that case is one of them, unless you purchased it used/refurbished.

What I recommend doing is this: Your case came with instructions. Follow them for full ATX motherboards. There's a section for it (it's actually page 6, if I'm reading these manuals right). If your case, for some odd reason, did NOT come with instructions, it looks like this: Instructions. Have your motherboard manual out at all times, during the building process too. This saves 1000 headaches.

Hello. Thank you. I already have the pc up and running. Yes I got the case from Amazon.  I don't see anything that says it's refurbished. Anyways seems to be working fine.  But I can't use the 2 bottom usb ports because my motherboard only has 1 of these kind of pins.  Other than that it's alive . I attached a video but can only upload 20mn. Lol
