Vega 56 Upgrade

Hi!

 

I currently have a Vega 56, which are fetching decent money on eBay at the moment.

 

I'm thinking of selling it and buying something else, probably Nvidia.

 

Happy to put a couple of hundred £ in to the upgrade.

 

What do you think I should be looking at?

A couple of hundred quid? Are you wanting your new card to be better than your old one?

We're not mind readers. Please try at least include a budget, display resolution, common games you play and the rest of the system specs this GPU will go in. Thanks.

I can see buy it now at 328 quid, I don't think a couple of hundred quid on top of that will get you anything significantly better than the Vega 56.

3060ti and 6700xt are about 600£, 3060ti slightly cheaper. I would say those are an upgrade.

I agree, but you're looking nearer to 300 quid unless he gets a stupendously good price for his current card. The arse is falling out of the second hand market somewhat now.

Sorry, I meant I'd add at least a couple of hundred to whatever I might get for the Vega (probably £300ish)

 

So budget is £500 - £600, or a bit more if there is a standout card with a better performance/price ratio.

 

Not sure whether to buy new, or second hand. I guess new makes most sense though, right?

 

I had a quick look at new cards and thought maybe a 3060ti would be a noticeable upgrade?

 

Resolution is currently 2560x1080.

 

I have a Ryzen 5 3600 and I mainly play Assetto Corsa Competizione and FIFA 22

I ended up getting a KFA2 3070 for £599.99 from Overclockers. My Vega 56 is on eBay for £345

For anyone interested, the Vega sold for £345 and the 3070 is now installed
