"Sidebar widgets" are just widgets (derived from WP_Widget), there are no special "sidebar widgets". I can't say what you've done wrong without the code though.

oh that's fixed already

Hey I am developing a theme for Wordpress. How do I make my sidebar widgets be recognized as such and get the default Wordpress styling for sidebar widgets?

Because right now when I put a widget in my sidebar it just goes to the bottom of the content not to the side. How do I make it recognize it as a sidebar widget? Is there a specific class or something?
