Same Radiator Fans?

On my Zalman LQ310, it came with a PWM fan and I attached a Cougar Turbine (3pin) on it also to do a push pull configuration. I was just wondering if it is required to use the same fans (I have another Cougar Turbine lying around) or does it not matter?

But keep in mind I have a thug of a Noctua sitting on my shelf that so far has a kill count of 3 CM fans. 

 

I doubt you'll have any problems, just putting that out there.

I'm pretty sure fans are standardized in some way, so you should be fine.

that's what I suspect was reason since the CM fan was at constant 5v and the Noctua was variable. 

 

It was probably just an exceptional case, shouldn't be an issue.

Unless the static pressure can rip a hole through some sheets of cardboard, probably not.
