Budget (including currency):  €1800

Country: the Netherlands

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: gaming, coding, school, etc

Other details: This is my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/qhXV78

It doesn't include a GPU as of now, but I'll wait for prices to drop and get a 3070ti or maybe even a 3080.

I really wanna go ddr5 RAM, so I won't need to upgrade motherboard when ddr5 becomes mainstream. I'm able to get a 8GB ddr5 stick for €76 (which I'd buy 2 of). It won't have a heatsink, can heat become a problem?

Please note the prices on pcpartpicker are still in dollars not euros .

Idk for DRR5 or DDR4, but my DDR3 never heats up. Heatsinks on RAM are for high speed modules to be cooled down, and these won't need them. That PSU should be fine, and everything seems fine. I would honestly cheap out on that PSU, get an i5 12400 cuz I don't OC CPUs, a GTX 1080, smaller 512GB boot drive and 2TB HDD, would go single channel DDR4, and buy a second stick later, and a cheaper motherboard. Upgrading to DDR5 is long term, yes, but if I am fine with DDR3 when DDR5 is out, DDR4 should be fine when DDR6 is out. But, if you have money rn and don't care about sacrificing sacrefising performance for a 200$ cheaper build, I'd say go for it. Just remember the HDD thing, cuz if you play paid games with that PC, you may have a lot of then abd you will need a lot of space.

I wouldn't worry about that. By the time DDR5 becomes mainstream, you probably will need to update your platform as well. Also there would be much faster DDR5 by then so the current kit you're getting will most likely be obsolete. Look at everyone who bought DDR4 2666 mhz when it first launched
