Sorry for double post, can anyone tell me how to format this neater?

You could just edit your post. Try re-pasting the bbcode

What's the system being used for?

A bit of everything, it'll mainly be university work and gaming. I also do all the standard stuff like browsing, YouTube etc.

No mass storage?

I was considering the Seagate Barracuda 1TB HDD which is £39, but I've still got my laptop and might try and use that for most storage. I suppose given it would only take me to £710 I could add a £40 HDD in.

Do you have any other suggestions in relation to my proposed build?

Could be cheaper with a 280x http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/msi-video-card-r9280xgaming3g

That's about it.

I have considered it, but in such a small case temperatures worry me, and I've not had a Radeon card since I was about 12. From what I hear their drivers are really poor?

Not at all.

Then why is it in 770 vs 280x threads people more often than not recommend the 770?

*Shrug*

People like Nvidia.

In that case then, would you say there's little separating the 280x and the 770, performance wise?

They're neck and neck--beating each other in different scenarios.

I'll keep a more open mind to that card from now on then. Would you change anything else, or use that £30 saving to put toward something else? More ram, perhaps?

8GB is plenty if what you're doing is just gaming and you don't heavily multitask on the side.

--but if you are, go ahead and get 16GB.

If you're not sure what that may be, my personal example would be frequently hitting 100+ tabs while browsing and on average having 5-10 programs open at once or just content creation in general.

I think 8GB will suffice. Though would I be better off swapping 2X4GB modules for 1X8 module, for future upgrade if need be?

If it doesn't cost more, sure.
