Hello everyone, just looking for some advice on upgrading my PC. Nothing fancy or exciting, to be honest. I don't need any peripherals. I'm looking to upgrade my motherboard, get a new case, and get an AIO CPU cooler. My current AIO is a Single fan. I'm currently looking at getting Corsair iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler, Asus PRIME Z390-P ATX LGA1151 Motherboard, Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case, and I Just wanted to make sure everything is compatible and would work. Appreciate the help, and any feedback to make it cheaper or anything of that nature is welcome.

What CPU are you planning on getting? Your current CPU won't work on that board if you were planning on reusing the CPU. Also getting a new board for this system generally doesn't make sense, performance will be basically identical, and if you need more features you might as well sell the current board and CPU and get a current gen CPU (used prices all around are just terrible right now, while new prices are about as low as they've been in years for the performance you get)

As @RONOTHAN## said, 6600K is not ideal for Z390.

Case is good, the 4000D Airflow, I have it myself.

I really don't recommend a 360mm AIO cooler for the 4000D, as clearance issues will be imminent, especially since you can only mount the H150i Capellix at the front. Go for a 280 or 240 at the front, as the Capellix is also available in those sizes, and the 6600K can be cooled exceptionally with all 3 sizes.

Honestly you might as well just get a brand new motherboard and a new i3 (if you're on a tight budget), sell your old stuff to cover the cost.

If you do this, an AIO doesn't really make any sense, it's not necessary.

It's not even that it's not ideal, it's that it simply will not work.

*without modding

Just upgrade the entire thing rather than bother with a dead platform that tops out at hyper threaded 4 core i7, sell the board cpu and ram to cover some of the cost, and you didnt mention what case you have, though if its a hotbox with solid front yea just upgrade it
