need a WiFi 6 router

What is your use case?
But hey, I guess my fave does have Wifi6

That backhaul is just a very narrow datalink so a service technician can troubleshoot a disconnect from both sides of the break.

Also, be aware that it's likely that part of your internet woes is you are also using an ISP provided modem which is also gonna be pretty trash

I’ve been getting horrible ISP provided routers for years through the local company I use. I need a WiFi 6 router for 200 USD or less that can put out my 300mbps internet speed and have enough bandwidth for 2 smart TVS, 2 Xbox’s, 2 Laptops and 3 phones. I have a super small home so range is not a issue.

Also, whenever my internet stops working I get another SSID on my devices that I can’t connect to but it says “Calix” (My router company) 5G Backhaul and then numbers and letters. Any and all help is very appreciated.

Very late on this response, but your help is greatly appreciated. Still in need of router suggestions. My wifi is gonna be 300 down, looking for WiFi 6-6E, two floor house now with a lot of interference upstairs. 100mbps down right now, I get 3 out of 4 bars on all devices, modem is still garbage from the isp. Need something that I don't have to worry about going upstairs and losing internet speed.

Use case is for internet tv streaming, gaming, media-audio streaming, and powering 2-3 smart TV's, 3-4 mobile phones, pc, and laptop.

looking for WiFi 6-6E,

I have a 400 Mbps down 10 Mbps up connection and I do fine with a WIFi 5 router. The house is two floors with the router on the second floor. But even when the router was on the first floor I was getting decent WiFi to the upstairs. Its all about positioning. If you put the router in a higher up position, the WIFi signal then can spread. ALSO WiFi signal comes out in like a donut shape. Meaning directly above and below the router will have crappy signal. Also the shape of the house matters. Ours is two squares sitting on top of eachother so to speak, so while we have 1300 Sq feet, each floor isnt that big.

Bear in mind 6 Ghz had less range and penetration power than 5 Ghz. So 6E is only worth it if you have devices that are 6E capable with in the limited range of the 6 Ghz signal. I haven't seen real world testing of 6 Ghz but Id set my expectations accordingly as the higher the band the less range and penetration power you will get.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

I really wouldn't. 6E is good for two things: gigabit over the air and 100+ active clients (and not just things on the wifi but things *actively using* the wifi. I went Ubiquiti and grabbed their 250$ 6E access point because I'm a nerd and wanna flex my symmetrical gigabit fiber. Also sometimes I have 50 people over. But it was a massive overspend and could have stuck with the Lite line with no downside.

What is your budget? If it's in the 100ish$ range, I'd *still* rec this, but if you wanna ball out in the 1000$ and are willing to run wires, you can get obscene speeds all across the property (I get 350mbps on the other end of my 40m yard)
