You indeed can but there are a few more steps than using intel. @WyzeGye already has.

Thanks for the mention.

Yeah, it can be pretty painless, link to more information is in the sig. Your video card and motherboard may pose an issue, but provided you have recent nvidia that shouldnt be a problem.

Edit: just looked at your specs and your motherboard checks out. and the video card will work, but I don't think it will be as easy as mine was.

Tired of hearing people say you can't install OS X on AMD hardware. Educate yourself.

For Mavericks you are probably looking at Niresh. A retail flash usb install isn't going to work. You are going to have to type in pre install commands to even get it working at all, and you may need post install kexts if they are even available for the sound/network.

For a first Hackintosh I recommend sticking with stuff on Tony Mac's compatibility list. Even Intel can be a nightmare on some motherboards. Mac OS is easy to use, but a pain to work with compared to something like Windows. It is much more linux like then Windows like under the hood. Things like Kext Wizard has made it much more user friendly though.

Now is power management going to work, the sound/network? Who knows (with GPU you know). Depends on the onboard sound/network and if someone has written a post install kext for it. Usually if you can install the OS and get into the OS you have a good shot of eventually getting everything working.

Now the problem with Niresh is that it isn't retail. You are dealing with a cracked OS. Add to that the farther you go away from near native hardware? A simple OS patch can wreck everything. So if you do all this and get it working? Buy Mac OS. Then turn off automatic updates.

Would I trust that install with my livelihood or on a computer that I need to 100 percent work all the time? Not really. If security updates/software patches can potentially crash your entire system, that ain't great.

Yup. Might take putting windows disc in to repair the install if you did Win first though. Takes a whole minute. The bootloaders like chameleon are pretty darn good now with dual boot. Used to use EasyBCD, but haven't needed that for a long time.
