New headset: looking for recommendations

I am looking for a new pair of headphones to use for gaming. I do not need a headset because I use a separate mic and am looking for something that will clearly be able to hear where noises are coming from(footsteps/voices) and of course want it comfortable. I will not be listening to music and am hoping I can keep it under $100

i enjoy my hyper x clouds as itl do all that tnd the mic is removable so you can use whatever mic you want, has a surround sound switch which i always have turned on while playing 7 days to die, it does the job and i believe is in that price range still

I'd recoomend the Sennheiser HD 560s, but if you can't afford them, then definetly the HyperX Cloud (Core, Pro, PS4, Xbox, Cloud II, Alpha, Flight S, wireless etc; just avoid Stinger and the other that don't justify the name). HyperX Cloud is a rebrand of the Takstar Pro80 monitoring headphones + added removable microphone.

Akg k61 or Phillips shp 9500s are pretty good for this budget alternatives are the takstar pro 82 / cooler Master mh751/752

Senneiser HD599 occasionally go on sale for $99. They're overall similar to the 560.
I see one USED in GOOD condition (whatever that means) on Amazon right now.
