Budget (including currency):  1500$ CAD

Does the budget include what you paid for the GPU or do we not need to factor that cost in?

If the budget has to include the price of the GPU, this is what I'd build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/DC6d6r

If the budget does not have to include the price of the GPU, this is what I'd build https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/qbLnnt

Budget (including currency):  1500$ CAD

Country:  canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:  Gaming ( dofus, minecraft, more modern games if i can run them)

Other details

I just bought an Evga rtx 3060 12G hoping to build something great around it.

I have enough storage for my need in my current computer from which i hope i can re-use ( dont know limitation since i've never built a pc). 2to hard drive 250go ssd and 500go m.2 ssd

I want to buy the Fractale torrent for my new case , i love the look and it seemed to be a great air flow choice... Not that interested in watercooling for the moment.

No peripheral needed. I will keep what i have for the moment, i run on dual 27 inch 1080 monitor

My current pc is a 12ish years old

I7-3770

16go ddr3

Gtx 650

Looking to buy sooner than later i've got the gpu in hand which seemed to be the hardest part to get

I would need help to pick the rest of components or even tool to see compatibility issues etc. Thanks a lot

Yeah, don't go for that list. The i7 12700k is much faster than the 11700k for not much more, and if you're gonna get a -K SKU CPU, you should really get a Z- series motherboard to be able to overclock it.

Allright thanks alot for your inputs

Theres a note at the end of this build list

"" Note:The Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black 82.52 CFM CPU Cooler may require a separately available mounting adapter to fit the MSI PRO Z690-A DDR4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard."""

is this someting to worry about or a simple problem to fix with adapters in the box?

and for the 1400$ price is it Cad or usd ? Makes a bit of difference

It's a simple problem to fix, basically LGA1700 switched the mounting mechanism to something new, so most coolers don't include the proper brackets in the box yet. Noctua is one of the better companies for this though, all you really have to do is email them the receipt for both the cooler and the motherboard and they should mail you the new bracket for it.

I know but ive not found much cases i like the look of...

Torrent is my favorite, i like the fractale meshify2 and the 4000D airflow but meh

If you have suggestions on a cheaper case with great airflow and a not so cheesy RGB look to it im open 🙂
