Ryzen 9 5900x, RX 6800, 4x 8gb 3600mhz cl17

Im playing on 3440x1440, 144hz. I have fps locked to 141 cuz of the freesync range, vsync off.

I have random stutters in game with high fps. When im opening inventory its always micro stutter. I was trying different graphic settings and theres always stuttering.

Radeon software version 22.2.2. Can this be an issue?

Question for amd users. Which version of radeon software are you using?

PUBG uses directX 11. I have the same GPU and AMD GPUs are known to stutter in DirectX 11 games. Typically it boils down to games that use this API are never really well optimized for all hardware. Nvidia gets around this by tweaking every little stutter and edge case that developers don't implement.
AMD can't always do the same and I suspect this could be your problem.

For example Mirrors Edge Catalyst has the same issue even though my GPU is way overpowered for that game

I've had R3 3300X and 5700 XT for more than a year, probably two, and no stutter in PUBG of any kind on DX11. DX12 wasn't working right I think. DX11 enhanced did work too I guess.

Edit: Sorry it was DX11 Enhanced that didn't work right. DX12 doesn't exist on PUBG.

Edit2: Maybe it's Freesync? Take it off and put all graphics on ultra so it won't reach 144 fps or something hehe.

If u have Enhanced Sync ON, turn it OFF https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/ldye34/radeon_6800_xt_stuttering_on_high_fps/

I tried with dx12 and dx11.

Enhanced sync was off all the time.

I tried with freesync off and on with fps locked.

It doesnt help. I still have stuttering.

Ok question: What PSU do you have and wattage?
Also does event viewer -> windows logs -> system show any error or critical logs when you are playing?

Im using newest chipset drivers.

That probably is the problem. I did read not many days ago that these newest chipset drivers give problems, so u shouldn't use those. Unless they've published fixed drivers already, dunno..

Try playing other games to see if you still get issues with stuttering to determine if it is a problem with the system or a problem with the game. PUBG has had a few performance issues recently since the free-to-play update. I've had some stuttering issues and crashes to desktop as well (crashes occur every 5 minutes exactly) but it seems to only happen in certain matches. Relaunching the game and continuing the same match will still give me stutters/crashes, but as soon as the next match starts it's fine again there's no stutters or crashes.

If you set the font to black/grey it makes it difficult to read for people using night theme due to the dark grey background. If you leave the font colour to "Automatic" it will work for both themes. You can change the theme at the very bottom of the page clicking Theme
