What happens when I try to set up a dial up connection from RDP?

I have an old laptop with both WiFi and a dial up modem (It can successfully run Windows 11 Pro). What happens if I try to set up a dial up connection from RDP via WiFi? Will the sound come from the client device or the remote device (the old laptop)?

As I understand them, the modems have their own speaker, so my guess would be "comes from laptop", but I guess there exists the chance that later modems had some sort of sound emulation in the drivers. Try it and report back?

Both devices were silent during the dialing.

Dial up connection over WiFi?  You've completely lost me here.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

The laptop is connected to WiFi and the home phone line. RDP is connected via WiFi.

But why would you use dialup for that when WiFi is available?  Is this to bypass NAT issues so you call your laptop directly over the phone line?  Why is this better than just making an actual phone call?

I'm testing it to see if it works for voice calls.
