Bought PC38X, Mic not working

I just bought the sennheiser PC38X, I plug it and the mic is not working, i have it plugged in the right one its recognizing a mic is plugged in but is unresponsive. What do i do. Its plugged in using green and pink wire

Open up a command prompt, and type in mmsys.cpl to open your sound control panel. Go to the recording tab to check your audio inputs. Right click on your microphone and select properties to configure it's settings.

 

You can hear your microphone pickup with the "Listen to this device" check box on the Listen tab (make sure to uncheck before you leave the properties window). If there's a Custom tab with an AGC box, you want that checked. Play with the slider in the Levels tab until you get a good volume.
