Can you put old pc components in a new case?

I recently got old pc components for me to assemble and use. but I don't have a case for it, the motherboard is from early 2010's and its AM3+ Gigabyte with an AMD FX CPU. I'm trying to find a dedicated GPU that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. But I want to get a case ordered. but i wanted to know what cases (if any) would be good for this motherboard. preferably new, but old will work too. Thanks for any help!

Standards haven't changed all that much in the last 10 years. You'd only start running into trouble with front panel connectors once you go back far enough to hit boards with AC'97 audio headers.

The ATX screw hole pattern hasn't changed since it was standardized in the mid-90s. As long as you're not using a proprietary, AT, Baby AT, or BTX motherboard, it should just drop right into a new case.

I sold my soul for ProSupport.
