Charging Problem

I have an acer aspire a315-31. The charging port was loose and the laptop was not charging. I replaced the port, but now, when I plug the charger a "tik" sound can be heard and the laptop don't charge. The charging light is flashing, but not in the "discharged battery" way. It's flashing at the same time as with that tiking sound. (for me it sounds like a short circuit). What can I do?
