Hey guys! So right now, I'm using two seperate desks side-by-side to form sort of a longer desk. I was planning to just buy another desk but didn't for two reasons:

- They can get hella expensive

- The sizes and dimensions aren't right for me

So I thought of what I can do. Well if I can't find anything in stores, I might as well build it myself! So here's my design so far as I modelled in Cinema 4D. I don't plan for it to be red but coloured it that way so it stands out. What do you guys think? Got any suggestions?

Btw, no mouse in the pic cuz I was too lazy and sorry I had to compress the image to get it to upload here so there is some banding going on!

I'd suggest moving your pc to the right area because you will bump into it and it gets annoying, also have you considered making it lower and put the mouse+keyboard in the top of the desk instead of that slide out tray?

Main PC:

ASUS F1A55-M LX, AMD A6-3500, (2x2)gb Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600mhz, Seagate Barracuda 500gb 7200rpm,
Corsair CX430M, Cooler Master Elite 343, Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit

Netbook:

Lenovo Ideapad S10-2, Intel Atom N280, (1x1)gb DDR2 667mhz, WD Scorpio Blue 250gb 5400rpm, Zorin OS 9 Lite

Do you have the proper tools and woodshop experience? It looks nice pretty nice from that rendering

Yes I do, the hard part will be measuring accurately and precisely to keep it looking sharp and making sure the cuts are clean and nice.

I hadn't thought of that, I'll definitely take that into account when setting everything up at the end. That sort of thing is pretty minor and can easily be changed later.

Cinema 4D as mentioned in the original post :P The dimensions are 1:1 scale, too.

Why not have the computer on the desk, I mean its a desk for the computer and you not just you, don't be so self centered :P

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

I guarantee you are not going to use the corner so place it there, will serve as the center piece for your new desk and keep it off the dirty floor (and give you more leg room). The leg on the right of the main desk will keep you from reaching the corner.

Well I'll definitely consider it. Thanks for the feedback!
