Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): i have a 1080p 60Hz display and im getting a new one 1440p 170Hz (gigabyte m27q)

hi im looking to get a new pc as my old one is 6 years old and isnt doing to well anymore so im looking to get a new one

i probably wont get a new one for another 4/5 years so im want to get something that will last. im mostly going to play games like RDR2, assasins cread, witcher etc. (also lighter games like valorant and lol) os im hoping to still be able to run this type of games in a few years (i was never really looking for the highst quality settings so not really hoping for more then playable)

its my first time building one on my own i was hoping to get some suggestions

also im looking to try a bit of overclocking and thats why i went for a z690 motherboard, im going to get a 1.5tera from my old pc so the 500GB is enough

this is my current build https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zcjMpH

It's a good set up. If you're going to use it for a long time, my suggestions would be first to spring the extra $20 for the P400A Digital over the P300A, you can find it for $90 fairly often. And then I'd suggest spending a little extra for a better PSU. One of the platinum Corsairs or similar - something that is efficient, has good reviews, etc. The ones with really nice braided cables are especially easy to work with and look good. The PSU is one of the components that actually should last 6-10 years and have the warranty for it, so don't skimp on that one too much. The better ones at that 850W range should also run a little quieter if that is important to you. Good choices though - the motherboard has the CMOS reset for you on the I/O panel (hard to find), the fans are great, the CPU is in the sweet spot, yeah, pretty good. Also agree, don't spend that much on a 3070, you could find a 6800XT for less than that. I'd just pick a budget number for the GPU and get the best you can out of that. Happy building, and good luck!

case prices and availability is really weird where i live (and generally expensive) and shipping a case is super expensive so thats not an option but i can get the cooler master td500 mesh for about 20$ more then the p300a+extra fans if thats worth
about the psu i saw that its at the top of the psu tier list and i cant find too many psu Reviews so i went with that but i do consider to go for the corsair rm850/750x or hx750/850
