Dead cpu ?

Go to solution Solved by Beerzerker,

I'd try the button first since it does the same basic thing.
You can remove the battery too but the button is faster to use and some boards can be stubborn about resetting when you remove the battery.

Do the button and see if it works.
Note that in either case ALL settings you made in the BIOS will be reset but that's better than it not working, the only exception being the clock which won't change if you use the button but will be reset to a default time if you pull the battery.

Hold the button for about 20 seconds and then try it.

Hello all.

I messed up.

I was looking at Ryzen master and played with the long thing where you can change ram frequencies. I wanted to see what it did. BUT I didn't want to click on apply and test. It turned back on and decided to revert what I did (back to 1800 instead of 3700).

Turns out my computer doesn't want to boot anymore. Q code 17, 22, and 54. The red CPU led is on. I honestly don't fucking know. I didn't touch anything else.

I'm going to try to cmos clear it and jump it with the 2 pins located on the bottom right.Screenshot_20220211-213822_Discord-Beta.thumb.jpg.044c70bbb978e9fa21ef3a82a2ceb978.jpg

My rig :

5600x

B550-E

What B550-E board do you have?
Knowing that would help.

Also, most boards have a CMOS reset button on the back (In the area where your keyboard, mouse and so on plugs in) these days, have you tried it if it's there to use?
Being if yours is a B550-E it should have that I'd think.
