CPU Cooler??

Say I get a new CPU with built in cooler and i buy a different one, what do I do with the original CPU??

do you mean a cpu that comes with a cooler? the cpu and cooler are separate, and are replaced separately.

You have an original CPU, and an original cooler.
You replaced the original cooler with a better one. Congrats.

 

The original cooler can be kept as a spare in case the new one ever fails, or sold for a little spare cash

 

However, if your CPU chip includes a build in cooler, please post photos cause I wanna see

i havnt got it yet but it comes with one its the Intel I5-10400F for my first build

For future reference, we don't say that the CPU "has a built-in cooler." To keep things simple, the CPU and the CPU cooler are separate pieces. Just say that your new CPU "comes with a cooler." It'll save everyone a lot of time and confusion.

 

When you say the new CPU has a "Built in cooler" it makes it sound like they are permanently attached together.
