Idk, seems more like the 12400 is ahead

and even if it did lose, or even so much as trade blows, the 12600K is closer to the price of the 5600x...

In certain tests, yes. Intertestingly enough, you pulled up another site which provided favorable results to your opinion. 🙂

That's fine...no problems. I'm simply trying to show you how close these cpu's really are based on multiple sites using various benchmarking tests. Unfortunately, there is the issue of price right now.

either way, currently AMD's chips are on average slower and more expensive, so the answer to the OP's question is Intel

You're forgetting that cpu's only represent one component of a pc build. I assume he/she is needing more than just a cpu and EVERYTHING from motherboards to gpus is severely inflated right now.

 

It is a very bad time to build a pc.

this "very bad time" will continue on for several more months, some people are ok with sucking it up and building a PC during this time

I am only providing information to make an informed decision. I cannot stop anybody from spending way too much money right now.
