So I have a bunch of drives and it can recognize 4/5 I unplugged one because it was booting up to it since it had windows 8 but that is irrelevant.

Anyway, my old ssd is 60gbs from my last pc and I bought a 240 which I use for my os blah blah but now it won't recognize the 60gb?

Yes I have different cables for it etc

The weird thing was I needed my old pics from it so while it was on I unplugged and replugged it in and it showed up but just a little bit and it disappeared?

I did make a full copy of the drive but I would like it still since it is a ssd

If it's not showing up in my computer but it's plugged in and the bios recognizes it then you probably need to use disk management to format it to ntfs

even though it shows up for a minute and I was able to copy files from it? Then it just disappears? It isn't the end of the world but I am just wondering?

I don't know but if it's failing anyways might as well try formatting.

I don't think there is any good reason why a drive would be randomly disconnecting itself unless the cable is loose, the drive is failing or the motherboard is failing.

disk management?

ALRIGHT here is an UPDATE.

Bios detects it.

Yet again windows sees it for a little while BUT I was able to FORMAT IT.

Disappears......

I don't understand? IT just stopped working???? worked fine the 2 days before I was using it as a OS........
