Hey, so as the new GPU rtx 3050 is on the market, is it worth piking it up? Currently I have a gtx 1050ti so I know the improvements and changes would be big step up but what I'm wondering is if it's better to wait until the 3060ti is at a cheaper price? The 3050 is here in my country like 300€ cheaper than the 3060ti, but is the 3050 worth it at the at price of 450€ or is it just better to wait a year and hope the 3060ti has gone down in price?  I play at 1080p and want my games to run smoothly on high graphics.

Thanks for any help!

so it's 2/3 more expensive? Nah it's not that worth it. 1080p high doesnt need more than a 3050 unless you also turn on raytracing effects. In that case the 3050 will require DLSS to be on in most cases

At 450 the 3050 is not good value, instead I recommend buying a 2060 on the used market, why? because it has support for dlss and will perform better than the 3050, also look out for a 2060 super because it has more vram than the base 2060.

Hope this helps 🙂

Hope my response helps 🙂
