Key and mushroom button for power switch mod

I was wondering if it was possible to use one of these type of switches to power on my pc, I was planning to put the wires in through my Side panel to short them by turning the key and pressing the button, I got the idea off tiktok  but was going to check here first to see if I was a bad idea.

if it wouldn’t work would would some other suggestions be, I don’t really want to drill into my case

Yes you could use those switches. It says the "mushroom" switch is a momentary switch, which is what you need for the power switch. I assume you are using the key switch to complete the circuit for the momentary switch? Is that the plan (only way I see to make that work)? So you will need both to turn the PC on?

 

*edit*, the key is like ignition switch, I missed that part in the description, so it does have momentary function as well.
