Likely because the the OS isn't reading the hidden flag status until replugging...

Hey,so I created a bootable USB with macOs. It had a install and an EFI partition showing up as separate disks.  I unplugged the drive without ejecting because it was idle and now when I plug it back in only the install disk appears. Is it fine? Was the EFI thing temporary. How do I know?

EFI partition is supposed to be hidden, so it's normal.
