Upgrade path/flow

what would be the upgrade path/flow of what to upgrade in order. I don't need specific parts just what upgrades first

I would most certainly start with a mobo/cpu combo.

I would have to agree but I would NOT use anything by MSI.  And drop the Intel and go with AMD instead.  Something like an Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming mobo paired with a Ryzen 7 3800x and go with at least 32 gigs of DDR4 - 4000MHz ram.  Stick with the GPU that you have for the time being until sometime in the future when the prices of GPU's has a chance to drop (if ever).
