I'm looking for an ATX compatible case that has the power button and front IO somewhere other than the top of the computer, but still easily accessible. My cats love to jump up on top and push the power button, either turning my computer off when I'm using it or turning it on to light up the dark room and waste power. I have tried everything from sticky tape to obstacles to keep them off, but they just love the heat. Many people have suggested to me that I disable the power button in Windows, but I use the button regularly and I'd rather get a new case.

For some reason I am struggling to find any cases in the $100-150 price range that have this feature. The only ones I've found have had terrible airflow and less-than-stellar compatibility with standard sized HDD's and PSU's. Does anybody know of any, or of an easy case mod that I can do at home to rig up a new power button that looks okay on a Corsair 220T?

You don't need a case, just get a power button and disconnect the one on the case and you can run the new one under your desk or wherever you want.

You just gotto make sure it is not a toggle switch. If you know what I mean.

As mentioned, just get any momentary switch that you like the looks of, mount it where ever you want. Drill a hole in the case and mount it in the case.

Here is an one of the first results that popped up on Amazon. (An exspensive one though) As you can see, You can just drill a hole, and mount it with the nut on the back anywhere on the PC case pretty much. Then the two wires (most switches won't come with wires, you'll need to add them or use the wires from your OEM switch), just go to the same spot the OEM power switch would.

I appreciate the thought and will look into how I would want to do it, but I think I would rather just do a case if that's possible. I just can't seem to find any that aren't like $300 or have massive compromises.

Edit: I think what I'm really after is a good look at my options right now. I think part of me just doesn't want to risk modding the case and the deciding I didn't like the way I did it. The button is still probably the right choice for many reasons, but if anybody knows of a case on the cheaper side that can hold full sized components and two HDD's, I'd really appreciate it if you'd point me to them.
