got a GTX 1650... screen tearing, 75hz vs 144hz? FreeSync==G-Sync compatible?, recommend monitor?

I have a PC HP Pavilion 500-211el

that came with

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz

16GB RAM
Nvidia GT640

monitor HP Pavilion 22xi IPS LED Backlit

Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

Last year I got a Manli GTX 1650 with 4GB (I didn't want to change the power supply and had issues with products availability/prices/etc).

Since then I have come across "screen tearing" for my first time, in weird places:

-watching youtube videos on chrome (i fixed this enabling hardware acceleration)

-on Among Us (weird twist: only installing it on a secondary Windows account)

I don't play many games and oddly enough I didn't come across any screen tearing while I was playing the most resource intensive I have, Genshin Impact.

(I remember it was pretty smooth with average settings but can't remember them all)

-so, should I get a 75hz or a144hz?

-also I don't quite get if FreeSync==G-Sync compatible==I have to switch to Win10 ?

(I am not really a fan of Win10 and I would have to replace it on quite a few computers because I need to have the same OS on all the computers I manage)

-would you think this a good choice https://eu.aoc.com/en/gaming/products/monitors/24g2u5-bk

EDIT:

I forgot, the monitor I get must be 24 and IPS

I bought the AOC 24G2U-BK in the end

The only pain is I will have to update all my computers to Windows 10 to get that G-Sync compatible thing 🤢

The plus is that I already had to anyways because on one laptop with Windows 7 the touchpad wasn't working.

They changed the technology (with what purpose I will leave the benefit of the doubt) gave no drivers for Win 7
