So, buying from UK, most likely Amazon. Looking at around £50 max budget. For some voip and light content creation.

The snowball ice and samson meteor are similar in price, I think the cad u37 is a bit over budget. If I can't decide on anything, I'll probably go with a modmic 4.0. I just wanted a desk solution really, but I can't have everything I guess.

I'm  interested in quality, even though skype and youtube will butcher it. However a big concern to me is just how much unwanted noise the samson or snowball would pick up. Mechanical keyboard (minor however), tv in the background, and one most people don't have... the UK rain. My entire set up is in a conservatory so anything that picks up too much can be ear destroying for listeners during winter. All those sort of things go into consideration I guess. Can't say I've purchased a decent mic before so aid me brothers!

Edit: Ice version is fine for my uses I believe? Leaning towards the samson with the on mic controls, but don't know much between the quality of them both.

I'm not sure how the ice differs from the regular but I think the samson is about the same quality as the regular snowball. It's probably a better value though because Blue stuff is usually more expensive in Europe. Also, if you are worried about background noise, the only way to fix that is to bring the mic closer to your mouth so modmic would be the better solution or get an arm for your mic.

I have the mod mic 2.1, I think I bought it before December so whichever that one at the time was. Anyways, I love it for sure worth the money. The simplicity is amazing, it is completely out of the way and sounds great too.  Also brownie points because it uses magnets.

Yeah, I thought that was going to be the case, the ice is just £20 cheaper over here in comparison to the regular. Was hoping I could get away with not needing a boom arm, as that's still just going into the budget taking up a tonne of space. Think it'll have to be a modmic 4.0, thanks for the help anyway
