I need help recovering my Gmail account.

So I recently lost my phone which had my 2 factor on it for my gmail. I have access to the back up email but I don't know how to use it as a recovery method. can someone help?

Not entirely correct. They are asking a legit question. In the future just report and let the mod team determine this...

To answer your question, when you are asked how you want to recover just select the email option and follow the instructions sent to your recovery account.

It doesn't pop up at all it just tries to get me to use my phone

There should be a small "try another method" link at the bottom.
