Is 500w enough for my pc?

Rujdaga

Hey guys, i got a ryzen 5 1500x (planning to upgrade to r9 3900x in the late future), gtx 1060 6gb oc asus dual, ab350m, m.2 ssd, 1tb hdd, case with 4 rgb fans, and a crappy 550w power supply, is a cooler master 500w 80+ white enough for this system? Or i got a deal for a sharkoon 500w 80+ bronze (idk if sharkoon makes good power supplies) ? What are yall thoughts? I cannot spend a lot more money on my pc. Or if anyone can find a good psu on this site olx.ba (its like Bosnian ebay) that is not over 120km (km/bam is our currency, basically double of the eur 45e is 90bam)

16GB DDR4 Viper 4 Blackout 3200MHZ Ryzen 5 1500X AB350M-gaming3 GTX 1060 6gb Asus dual OC, 1TB hdd seagate 7200rpm, 120gb samsung m.2 ssd

I would always advise over speced power supplies for safety and future proofing. I would recommend at least a 600w power supply, but going to a 800w would probably be more than you will need for a long time and is a good idea if you plan on upgrading or overclocking.

here is a 68$ usd power supply that will be good for a couple years with 850w fully modular 5yr warranty and is just within your budget. www.amazon.com/EVGA-Modular-Warranty-Compact-220-B5-0850-V1/dp/B084R8FT1X/ref=asc_df_B084R8FT1X/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=416723174073&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7281235401401451341&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9006425&hvtargid=pla-951054355367&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=100759323984&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=416723174073&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7281235401401451341&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9006425&hvtargid=pla-951054355367

Sharkoon makes nothing. They only slam a label on it. But no, there are no decent 500w Bronze Sharkoon PSUs.

Are there other shops available besides this one? What about https://pcplus.ba/product-category/komponente/napajanja/

Based on what I can find... something like a Cooler Master MWE White 230V or Gigabyte P550B is the best unit available for that price.. although not ideal in the slightest sense

No... just no. OP's system will run on 300W, there is absolutely no reason for 600W. Even with the upgrade, a 550W PSU would be more than enough.

And we're talking "sAfEtY", a smaller specced PSU is usually better than higher specced when both are enough, for single rail PSUs. The OCP trip point would be lower.

This is by far the best you can get for the price... it'll power your PC fine. The R9 3900X would run but if you upgraded the GPU to something that required a bit more power it may not be ideal.

Most I've done on a good 450W is a 8700K and Vega 64, but the issue with the newer cards (RTX 3000, RX6000) is that they "spike" a lot compared to older ones.

Most likely it would be a no, but it depends on the model.
