"Corsair All The Way"

Forleb

Budget (including currency): 1700 USD

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Blender, Photoshop, video editing

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): This build is for a friend of mine. As the title alludes, they've told me to go Corsair all the way, and I intend to deliver on that. I've put together a list below & would be glad to hear feedback.

I opted out of an AIO because they aren't comfortable with the potential liability versus a tower. The 3060 Ti is sourced from Micro Center - the cheaper 3070s are never available at my location.

I'd suggest current gen Intel with a better cpu cooler.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Opted for a problably overkill 12700f and upgraded psu

ditched the corsair ssd cause gen4 isnt neccesary and even if it is there are better options like the rocket 4.0 or z440, heck theres a cheap aorus gen4 ssd and from what ive heard it has a massive cache or something like that

Upgraded to 3600 cl18 2x16 config cause 4x8 is terrible cause stresses the crap out of the imc, just fill the other slots with a lighting kit. I still consider it overpriced but for a chance of getting samsung b die then why not when ballistix rgb is either nowhere to be seen or overpriced to sht

Upgraded psu to an rm 850w, still good value and a solid unit

Changed cooler for a fuma 2 cause cheaper

Left the case and fans alone cause they are actually reasonably priced, though fans wise arctic p12 argb is gonna obliterate those sp and the 3 pack is the same price, well doesnt matter too much as long as it isnt too inferior or too overpriced
