Computer Crashing with Windows "Uncorrectable Error"

Ok, so I was switching some fans when suddenly my computer stopped booting or booted and then crashed after 1-5 min with the "Uncorrectable Error" message. So after asking Google I found out that it meant that I had some hardware problem.

Since I was switching some fans connected to my motherboard I would assume that my motherboard got damaged somehow, but to be sure I figured I could ask here to see if someone could confirm my suspicion before I return a 100% healthy motherboard.

Hardware:

CPU: Intel i7 4770k

GPU: Asus GTX 780 DirectCU II

MB: Asus Maximus VI Formula

RAM: Corsair Vengence Pro Red 2.4GHz

CPU Cooler: Corsair Link H100i

PSU: Corsair RM750

Fans: Stock Fractal Design Define R4 Fans (These were the ones I moved between two 4-pinners)

SSD: Samsung 840 Evo 120GB

HDD: Hitatchi Deskstar 4TB x2

Optical: Asus BW-16D1HT

Symptoms:

1) Crashed to BSOD: "Uncorrectable Error" several times during or a while after booting

2) Any attempt on reinstalling Windows crashes either while Preparing files (around 30-55% complete) or after the first reboot.

3) When removing all but one stick of RAM the computer would act as before, even when switching the RAM sticks

4) After removing the GPU I get stuck on these messages seemingly completely randomly:

  • A0 - IDE Initialization is started
  • A2 - IDE detect
  • AE - Legacy boot event

That's all I can remember at this point. If you guys need me to do any tests please let me know and I'll do them ASAP.

Thank you very much for all help and feed back!

In programming there are only two really hard problems:
Naming things, cache invalidation and off-by-one errors.

I am aware of that, I was testing some configurations in Asus AI III and after turning the computer on and off several times ended up switching them not realizing the computer still was running (was a bit tired).
