About a week and a half after my build, I've noticed that one of the cores is consistently 1-4°C higher than the rest. This is Core #1, in other words the second core.

This is what it looks like at idle

This is what it looks like at load in F@H, it hasn't settled yet, it normally settles at 51°, 54°, 51° and 49° respectively.

Should I be worried about these temperature differences? I think I might have shifted the cooler around a bit while trying to mount it. I'm using the NT-H1 that came with my cooler.

It's a lot cooler than what I was coming from (79°C load on stock cooler), but I didn't see that kind of disparity before.

Looks normal. There's always a hotter core from the rest.

No, this is completely normal.

The cores can run on different temperatures. And even more so, 90% of the time there is 1-2 that run either slightly cooler or warmer.

Nothing to worry about at all. It happens to a lot of people.

This is totally normal for CPU's. Your's isn't even that bad, my 3570K at load Core 0 will run at around 58C and Core 1 will run at around 65C. It is a bit odd and worrying but there is nothing to worry about, those temps are fine and that is a normal occurrence.

My Current Build:

Intel i5 3570K @ 4.4GHz 1.11V, Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO, Asrock Z77 Extreme4, Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB, Asus GTX 760 DCII Overclocked, Corsair CX600M

Around 70ish is fine at full load on newer Intel's. Closer to 80 can be fine on a synthetic like prime/aida that you will never see rendering. Under that is all gravy. Core temp differences are fine. Prime can run super hot after round 1 and those temps are never gonna happen

Max temp you are ever going to see in real world? Try Asus real bench h.264 or run a Cinebench r15 and look at the spike. If you are in the low 70's you are fine. Below 70 ideal.

50 C at load? Whatever program you are using that is fantastic. If it is prime or Aida? Really fantastic. You got nothing to worry about.

CPU:24/7-4770k @ 4.5ghz/4.0 cache @ 1.22V override, 1.776 VCCIN. MB: Z87-G41 PC Mate. Cooling: Hyper 212 evo push/pull. Ram: Gskill Ares 1600 CL9 @ 2133 1.56v 10-12-10-31-T1 150 TRFC. Folding @ Home

I don't and can't OC so my temps are max 55°C with a NH-U9B, F@H stresses CPU about as hard as Prime95 so i ran prime95 for about 15minutes and it settled at the same temps. Plus E3-1230V2 doesn't have the HD4000 iGPU, so its TDP is only 69W compared to the 3770 77W (those 70+ figures were from a 3770).

I'll try those benchmarks and see what results I get.

100% normal. You should see how I feel with one core being 10 degrees hotter than the others  :P

Cores won't all run at the same temperature, some like to run hotter than others. The only thing important is that your temperatures are acceptable, in which case they are. I don't see any reason to mess with it, if you're not going over 55C at full load then you're well below the chips limit of 69C.
