certain games fps capped below refresh rate

hello internet im looking for some advice, i just got a new asus rog xg27aqm monitor. im having a strange issue, in windows, nvidia control panel and in game all refresh rates set are correct at 270hz. in call of duty cold war it works perfectly im getting 220 plus fps however in vanguard and rainbow six siege im capped at 170 fps. i have tried a ton of different options and cant seem to fix this one. all updates and drivers are up to date.  this monitor is g-sync compatible but nothing says the refresh should be capped at 170 in any settings and only in those games im stumped. any ideas would be much appreciated. this is with a asus tuff rtx3080ti.

System Specs in Detail?

You could be CPU/RAM speed limited from getting the most out of other hardware/software.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

wow i feel silly it was riva tuner set to 170fps. just threw me off how cod cold war worked fine. it was the one thing i didnt check. i did not know that riva tuner could limit actual fps. the more you know, thanks for the response either way.
