Hello guys,

So I'm an employee at Best Buy so I was able to snag a ddr5 ram kit and a ddr5 motherboard for cheap. (295 for ram and 200 for motherboard all after tax) here are the links for the parts I got.

So I'm currently on a intel i7 8700k with a rtx 3080 and I cant decide if i want to just upgrade to 12th gen i7 or just wait for the new Ryzen processors and return the parts. I've been wanting to upgrade for Ryzen for the longest time however with how cheap I got these intel parts I feel like I should just go ahead and stick with intel. I don't do any CPU intensive processes just mainly for gaming. Also want to stick to windows 10 and from what I've heard new intel processors suck for windows 10 so I can't really decide.

Let me know what you guys think

Don't know where that comes from...

If you got the mobo+ram for cheap I would say go with a new intel cpu. Unless you want to wait for the next gen of AMD cpus.

The new Intel CPUS have issues with old game drms with the efficiency cores. I don't think it has problems with windows itself.

(The new AMD cpus will have a new socket so buying a CURRENT new AMD cpu leaves you on a dead end platform so you can wait for the new AMD cpus or go with intel) its up to you.
