Idk if this is the right forum to ask about it but let’s see, so I created hyper v, and if I try to use vpn on my personal pc and then try to connect hyper v, it doesn’t start. Is there any problem using VPN?

I want to keep my vpn on in my personal pc while I use hyper v…

First of all, are you trying to host a local VPN server and then connect to your local Hyper-V server remotely, or are you trying to connect to a public (like ExpressVPN, etc) and just use Hyper-V locally?

If it's the latter, then make sure you don't have some kind of firewall enabled preventing all of your local traffic from routing through the VPN, as it won't route properly and is why you aren't able to connect to the local Hyper-V server.

If it's the former, then the first steps are to:

  • Make sure you can access your Hyper-V server locally, on the PC, and on a PC over the local network without a VPN.
  • If you can't access it without a VPN across the LAN, then make sure your local firewall is configured correctly, and the Hyper-V server is also configured for remote connections correctly. I'm not a Hyper-V expert.

Hope this helps.
