Because AMD sucks for crysis.

Intel core i5-3570k @ 3.4 GHz - Sapphire Radeon HD7870 Ghz OC Ed 1050/1250 - Kingston HyperX 3k 120GB SSD - G.Skill 8 GB's DDR3-1600 MHz

Asus Z77-A mobo - Windows 7 64 bit - Corsair raptor HS30 headset - Corsair CX600 600w PSU - CM hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler

It can run crysis.

Get a really good CPU. Like an i7 4770(k) (if you overclock). Overbudget by $80 with this

You don't need a good GPU, get a mediocre one. Something like a GTX 750ti or something along those lines.

Go Intel for the CPU.

Get 2 sticks of RAM (2x4GB). Maybe even 16GB (2x8GB). Upgrade later on

I got a spare Windows 7 key. If you need one, PM me.

I recommend one stick of 4 or one stick of 8 for now... so later when you have more budget you can get another stick and double your RAM.

16GB is all he'll need. He can just add 2 more 4GB sticks later on. 2 is the best. 1 is just stupid.

I like this suggested build, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3slLq

Though I would like to save 50$ if possible on it without taking out too much preformence since I was aiming for 650$ but if this is worth the extra 50 I'll take it :)

What are your opinions about the case? And should I change it to 2x4 gb ram sticks? If so which ones?

8gb is all you really need for gaming.  Especially if it's just LOL he'll be playing mostly.  I am confused if you think 16gb is necessary for gaming.  Especially with a $650 budget.

No, I'm saying he should get 8GB. 16GB is the maximum he'll need. No point in getting 1x8GB.
