650$ PC Build + Monitor! [Buying TODAY]

GamerGuy

Hi guys, I'm gonna order my very first pc today, I really need help! (I am going to start trying to play competitive gaming, mainly for league of legends now but will often change.)

I have 650$ for a pc and monitor and here are what I need the pc for:

  • I will not need an SSD, I do want as much preformence as I could get since this will be mainly a Gaming pc.
  • I will also livestream on it if possible on games like League Of Legends, not too demanding.
  • I will be using it for Sony Vegas (and editting program) too.
  • Will be happy if I could run at least 95% of the games out right now at even low settings.
  • The monitor is prefered to be 720 or 1080p,

Some questions:

  • If it is possible. since this is my first time building, If I could get a recommendation for easy parts like cases, that'll be great.
  • I don't want to spend too much on the monitor saving me money for the pc itself but I do play 14 hours a day on games lol... So I am not sure about the screen size I should get and respose rate and also what quality.
  • Will a 500$ ish pc be able to stream some low demanding games?
  • The OS can be a problem for me, since I don't want to waste a full 20% of my build's cost on an OS, is downloading an OS from the internet on a flash drive bad? as in can I get in big trouble? I rather do it for free of couse... If not I will try ask my friend if he has a spare one.

Here's a build I came up with, how can I improve it?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3slxy (GPU not included since I don't know which one I need to run any game almost at at least low settings at desent frames, and also be able to live stream some games.) Help please :)

Thanks so much!

Here you go, made some alterations to your RAM and added a GFX card, as for an OS buying one is an option but due to the COC I cant link you to where you could get one but usually all is fine by obtaining it elsewhere ;)

Case: Corsair 460X RGB bby, CPU: I5 8600K, Motherboard: MSI B360M PRO-VDH, RAM: 8GB Hyper X 2400MHz , Graphics Card: GTX1060 6GB, PSU: Corsair RM750x,

Look at what i made. An R9 270x can handle BF4 on ultra with 50 fps. (1080p)

Get a really good CPU. Like an i7 4770(k) (if you overclock). Overbudget by $80 with this

You don't need a good GPU, get a mediocre one. Something like a GTX 750ti or something along those lines.

Go Intel for the CPU.

Get 2 sticks of RAM (2x4GB). Maybe even 16GB (2x8GB). Upgrade later on

I got a spare Windows 7 key. If you need one, PM me.

Wow thanks man :) May I ask why 2 sticks and not 1? Also, why Intel and not AMD? isn't the 6300 good enough? And what do you think about the 270x in this build?

I would really love a key, but don't I need the disk to install it? Like physically? Thanks man, life saver :D

This might be a noob question, but how hard is it to run BF4 compared to other games? I would of never thought that I could get such quality on such a card :o 2good2betru

this is a really good one, a 270x with a decent monitor, i would go with this one, if you really wanted to, you could get a slightly cheaper case like the n400

2 sticks/4 sticks of RAM to benefit of dual channel memory.

Intel is much better than AMD. 6300 is terrible for what you're going to be doing. 750ti is $100 cheaper.

No, you can download it (burn it to a CD or transfer it to a flash drive).

PM me for that though.

To put that into perspective it runs Crysis 3 (the most GPU demanding game so far. Also the best looking game so far) on very high with FXAA with 33 fps.

I wouldn't say that. It would play it on high at that but not ultra at 50fps. My gtx 760 plays bf4 at 1080p at ultra at around 45-55fps. The 270x isn't quite as powerful as a 760

You can use a usb to install it. You can download the iso from anywhere really on the interwebs. And I would go for the amd 6300 and 270x. Your gonna want the most powerful card you can get.

Gaming rig- Cpu- Amd 9590, 16gbs of G Skill Ram, Gpu- GTX 760 windforce 3 edition 2gb. A Thermaltake water 2.0 water cooler for my cpu. Keyboard- Thermaltake Posieden , Case- 750D, Mobo Asus 990fx R2.0. 24 inch Dell LED monitor

No....................Your gonna want the most powerful gpu you can get and a powerful enough cpu to run the card. Such as a amd 6300. Intel in this case is not within his budget.

Huh... I even watched that video, I'm surprised I didn't remember that. But yea makes since, since BF4 is optimized a little more for amd, like Jay said.

I'm sorry, but this is horrible. Why on earth would you recommend a $300 i7 for a $650 build? And you don't need more than 8 GB's of ram for modern games.

Intel core i5-3570k @ 3.4 GHz - Sapphire Radeon HD7870 Ghz OC Ed 1050/1250 - Kingston HyperX 3k 120GB SSD - G.Skill 8 GB's DDR3-1600 MHz

GTX 760 =/= 270x

Nvidia cards are known to handle crysis FAR better than AMD cards (almost twice as good). Similarly, BF4 is heavily AMD optimized.
