I recently switched my rig from a low profile office pc to a full tower computer. The 45mm fans on the low profile gtx 1650 are beginning to die and i’m out of warranty. Would it be possible to remove the fans and attach 2 noctua 40mm fans and plug them into the graphic cards pcb? Any response is helpful, thank you!

45mm fans are either both small and unusually sized or larger and unusually thick (fans are 3 dimensional objects)  one option is replace the fans with ones off eBay. Requires taking the thing out, removing the shroud, and replacing the old ones with OEM new ones.  There is also the case fan/zip ties solution where you get much larger fans (92mm? 120mm?) and zip tying a pair of them in place of the shroud.  Case fans are commonly 25mm thick, so I suspect the only fans that will fit in the shroud are the one specifically made for it.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.
