Weird stripes on screen

Setup:

-gainward rtx 2070

-ryzen 5 3600x

-16gb ram (dont know the brand form the top of my head)

- monitor: benq gl3760h

 

Problem: a friend of mine has these weird stripes on his screen all the time. They start at the left side and fade towards the right. See picture attached. 

 

Steps we tried: different cables, different kind of connector (hdmi, displayport), different slots on the gpu

Has the card been OC (overclocked) in any way?

Does it do it just in bench marking or is it in game as well.

I would also try a different monitor/tv

No oc, stripes are always there, even on the desktop. He also has a second monitor that doesnt have this issue

Might be a graphics drivers issue. Try to reinstall and see if it fixes the issue, if it doesn’t then try a different device on the monitor to see if it works without the pc. If none of those work then do a in-depth look at the graphics card.
