Userbenchmark i9-12900k Throttling?

I5-12600K and i'm having the same issue with userbenchmark saying my CPU throttle at 91%.

Did you find what was causing it ?

I have the same thing, can't find a cause for it. Thought it could've been poor thermal paste from AIO water cooler but tried replacing thermal paste and still have this thermal throttling appear on userbenchmark. Only just installed so haven't tried any games and don't have any performance issues to note. Will post if I have any noticeable performance issues.

Hi, I just recently upgraded my pc and was running some tests and my CPU was apparently throttling.

Any suggestions or help is welcomed as I am not very proficient in computer hardware.

Thanks.

You may want to start your own threads with details on your setups. The OP bought an extremely high end CPU with an incredibly inadequate cooler.

@battlepants220

Run HWiNFO and a consistent stress test like Cinebench R23.

Most throttling is either temperature related or power limit related. The HWiNFO Limit Reasons data is the best way to troubleshoot throttling problems. Post a screenshot if you need help with understanding this info.

I did and I guess that answers my question. I went with the 12500k over the 12900k because I didn't wanna mess with cooling it lol. Not to mention it adds another like 400-500 bucks on the bill
