Hello,

I have problems with my Computer. The PC is still freezing, and i think its because of the PSU. My OLD 700W PSU Died and i dont have better one, I have 550W PSU There and it started freezing after i changed the PSU. I think the PSU is not strong enough for the PC and i need a better one with more power. How much Wats PSU is enough for my PC?

Thank you for your help!

PS: You can find my PC Specs on my profile.

550w is definetely good enough. freezing can be overheaing somerwhere, or harddrive failing.

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Did the problem start after that your old PSU died or not? Not easy to know then you give different versions on when the problem started.

If the problem was there before your old PSU died the problem is elsewhere, either in overheating or drivers. As you have upgraded to Windows 11 and the problem was in Windows 10 the OS is not to be blamed here. Overheating could be CPU or GPU or some chip on the MB.

Did the problem start after the old PSU died it could be a cause of the failed PSU that took something more with it in its failure.

So, the computer WAS Freezing with the old PSU, It was Freezing and Turning off instantly. With this new PSU, its Freezing but the Turning off problems Disappeared. The old PSU was the problem. I had I-Tec PowerGamer 700W, now i have 550W but i dont know the creator or the name of the company.

484w at 12v can't be called a 700w PSU. I'm curious about the brand and model of your '550w' PSU.

Okay so i opened my computer and i found out that my new PSU 550W is called: Eurocase ATX-550W PFC

Is it better than the I-Tec PSU or worse?

Troubleshooting is to exchange parts with parts with in know proper working condition. If you don't have spare parts or can't borrow some, you can't troubleshoot and can't find the part that's responsible for the issue. The only things you can test with your current setup is RAM with Memtest86 and powerstability with Prime95 + Furmark at the same time.

I think the problem is with motherboard. I tried switching different ram and it did noticed that it has 8GBs of RAM But system only had 4GBs. And the motherboard isnt controlling the Fans in the PC, so thats why i think its the motherboard. Its not problem with the CPU or Graphics card.

Sounds like you have more than a couple problems here.  Did you build this PC?

And i did Memtest86 and it found out 644 Errors. I turned the test off in the middle of making it because i could see that the RAM Is having problems too

Seriously, though.  You seem to contradict yourself a lot in this thread.  Is it a couple years old or is it 11 years old?

You know what, i dont need your help anyways, instead of helping me, you are being rude. I fixed it my self. And do you think you are funny with sending me a recycling center near me link? Thats just cringe. If you hate my PC Then send me money for a new one, then we can talk about it.
