Are Chinese ssds good temp drives

i recommend going for a name brand hdd rather than a cheap no-name ssd, especially for your use case

Im in need of a temporary expansion in storage space on an old rog g752vt and dont really need it to last more than a few months only going to use it for resolve storage and maybe  a few launchers

everything is made in china, it just depends on the company and quality.

Are the wd blue and pny ssd still average or have they gotten worse over time?

they are probably both good, but a 1tb ssd from them is double the price of a 1tb seagate barracuda hdd

Going for the 250 gb ones as im planing on swapping it in as a boot drive on my desktop when i move it across country i hope soon

if its going to be a boot drive, then yes you should go for the ssd
