So I am building a PC and would like to know some things.

Specs:

PSU: 550W Generic PSU

Mobo: msi H81M-P33

RAM: 8gb DDR3

CPU: Core i5-4460

GPU: GTX 780 3GB or GTX 950 2GB

Question: I’d like to know if my GPU needs the 6-8 Pin power connector to work or can it just draw the power from the motherboard? The 950 is apparently able to draw power from the motherboard.

Question: If the GPU can draw power from the mobo can it damage the motherboard?

If you can Question: Does my PC need a heap of airflow for usually not to heavy games as the case only has 1 back vent with a fan and 1 small vent.

You'll need to plug in the pci-e cables if the GPU has the connectors. Also, change out the PSU for something better, a bitfenix formula is around $50-60.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

For me who lives in Australia and am not full of money. That PSU is around $100-$200. I am actually just buying the PC off ebay with the gpu seperate. Heres an image if you can piece what brand the psu is and if it even works with a 950

Definitely change that our first before buying anything, a coolermaster MWE Bronze V2 550w is only $70.

Well in that case. Got any manual or tutorial on how to change front io or connect psu connectors?

So I found this for a nicer price because this Pc is already making me broke.

would this PSU work with the case if places with the fan side upside down?

just look up any guide about building a PC and there'll be instructions on how to plug everything in.

what choices do you have? the fan will be aimed downwards so that's fine.
