So, Ryzen 5 5600G build.

I want some upgradeability, ok audio and good rear I/O so i went with a b550m Pro4 at first which seems like good value (OK VRM, good features, cool price) then i realized it doesn't have bios flashback, which i pretty much will need (i might in the future try out things that might corrupt / break the BIOS and having flashback helps, also upgrading to fit my 5000G series processor)

I've been eyeing MSI B550m Pro-VDH Wifi which has all i need + wifi but is pricier,  and the Gigabyte B550m DS3H which has all i need except that the SATA port faces upward and will likely get obstructed by a huge Graphics Card..

At first, i chose B550m for future releases but i just realized future releases, besides Zen3+ is likely to use an entirely different socket.

Are the 2 aforementioned great? You guys have any suggestions? Or since i wont be using PCIE 4.0 for GPU and storage, maybe.. i can just move back to B450m since at the same price point, i could get higher end mobos and in the future when i will try out the new zen generations i will need a new mobo anyways due to socket difference..

I am willing to spend up to what the Pro VDH WiFI costs as reference

They are the most terrible boards you can buy...

B450 supports all generations of Ryzen on the AM4 platform.

As matter of fact B450 supports more CPUs than B550 (though, the addional support is for early Ryzen CPUs).

If you can get the MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II - Get it.

The MSI B450 Gaming Plus MAX is also good but needs a BIOS update for newer Zen 3 CPUs.

I've seen some reviews and they seem Okay for what i'm gonna be putting in them.. now i'm interested

These are bottom of the barrel boards that don't even have a heatsink for the VRMs,

And these are going to regulate power for your 6 core CPU,so no,i don't recommend them.

not exactly, in some bios revision, it only allows up to 3 generation (either support for 1st gen or 4th gen), this due to limited bios data on the motherboard.

In theory all AMD chipset support all generation, AMD just made up the limitation for sales purpose.

i realized it doesn't have bios flashback

bios flashback only useful in you dont have a compatible cpu.

B550 pro4 is a good choice, very good features for the price.

B450 is also okay, but in some motherboards doesnt have full 2 m.2 pcie support (sata only for the second one).

Do you know of a similarly priced board with pro4 that has flashback feature?

It is such a shame such a great board doesn't have it, really useful when i have to update bios in the future

Sorry for the late comment, you probably already made a choice.

For bios flashback is really not an important feature, you only will use it ONE TIME, when you first got the mobo with unsuppored CPU.

Once you solve it, you're not gonna need that feature again. Having a flashback feature will only cost unnecessary space on the board.
