Dead CPU? Troubleshooting or out of warranty fixes

Hi everyone,

 

About 6 months ago, I bought a 2nd hand Ryzen 3950x. It worked excellent for 5 months, no issues at all. Until my pc shut down and never turned on again. Debug LED points to CPU, tried the basic troubleshooting such as RAM reseat and test, CMOS clear and BIOS was already up to date. Tested 2 more motherboards, both wouldn't boot. Put a new CPU in and it booted right up. 

 

So right now im trying to see what my options are. I can't get ahold of the guy who sold the CPU to me anymore and I don't have a receipt so AMD warranty repair is out of the question. Is there anything else i can do? Is there an out of warranty repair option? I am happy to pay I just dont want my CPU going to waste.
