What CPU should I pick

Ru66ian

So currently I'm building a new pc and have figured everything out aside from the CPU.

I'm currently deciding between an Intel 11400, 11500 and 11600.

Here in New Zealand I can get the 11400 for 330 NZD, 11500 FOR 360 NZD AND 11600 380 NZD.

And I'm not sure if the price difference between the different CPUs is worth the performance increase

It appears performance will be very similar with one another in video games. If you're using the PC for video work/processing and need the power, the 11600 will give a slight edge in completing those tasks, but between each CPU, are off by the same variance, i.e. 30 sec difference in completion between 11400-11500, 11500-11600.

Really comes down to what you'll be using the PC for so we can give you a better recommendation.

What are you going to use it for? What GPU are you using? I feel like there isn't really one with better value for money, so just get whichever you like.

For gaming the 11400 will be good enough. However, it depends on the rest of the components. If you have the budget go for the 11600 but if you're on a limited budget then go for the 11400 and use the difference (50 NZD) to get a better GPU or some other component that you might need.

None of them are really ideal for those tasks, but the 11600 would give you a bit of an edge.

Ye, but it's got a high tdp and the whole setup would be like $230 more expensive. Cos expensive motherboard for new socket

Much better for multi-tasking than the 11th gen.
