Case Fan LED Dots

These LED dots, realy hurt my eyes. This is cheap fan so I cant turn it off from motherboard.

 

I have idea to cover these dots with black tape. But is it safe? I'm afraid the LED covered with tape can increase heat.

 

Or not?

 

I don't want to damage or remove the led, just in case it will be sold in the future.

Do the fans only have one plug that contains both power and LEDs ?

most have a seperate plug that can just be left disconnected.

Yes, it only have one power for both LED and power

I would just buy new fans honestly. You can get some great fans like the Arctic P12s for real cheap with zero LEDs.

Actually I have no problem with LED light, I like that red color of fan, but that light spot too bright until hurt my eyes.

 

Then I print black color on used paper, and place them above the light dots. It works. But I dont know it's safe for airflow and fan health or not? What do you think?

Will be fine, That small amount won't really hurt much.

Ok. But still I want to know, if we tape led dots, can it increase the heat?

No, would just be more worried about the tape being to thick and interfering with the fan rotation or peeling off over time.
